These Terms govern your use of personalizedcat.com (the “Site”) and any order you place with us. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to them.

Our products are made to order
Almost everything we sell is printed to order for you after you buy. Some products are personalized with your photo, name or text; most carry our own designs. If an item ships ready-made instead, its product page says so. This affects returns — please read our Refund & Return Policy before ordering.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Prices and product availability may change at any time before you order.
- Any applicable sales tax is shown at checkout.
- Payment is taken when you place the order. We do not begin production until payment is confirmed.
- If a price is listed incorrectly due to an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
Personalization, photos and proofs
What you upload must be yours to use. By uploading a photo or submitting text, you confirm that:
- You own it, or you have permission from whoever does.
- If your photo includes people, you also confirm that you have permission from each person shown, or from their parent or legal guardian if they are a minor, to upload the photo and have us and our service providers use it to create and fulfill your order.
- It does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, or right to their own image or likeness.
- It is not unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise offensive.
You grant us a limited license to use, reproduce and adapt what you upload to create, show you and produce your order. We never use your original photos in ads. Finished products: we may photograph or film the item we make for you and show those images on our website, in our emails and on social media, including ads. We never add your name or contact details, we ask you first if the design shows a person, and you can opt out at any time by writing to info@personalizedcat.com. Photos, videos and text you submit with a product review are covered separately under “Reviews” below.
We may refuse an order. We can decline or cancel any order — with a full refund — if the image is unusable, if we believe you do not hold the rights to it, or if the content breaks the rules above.
Image quality. A low-resolution, dark, blurry or distant photo cannot produce a good print. If your photo is not good enough, we will ask you for another one. We will not print something we expect you to be unhappy with.
Artificial intelligence. Our portrait products convert your photograph into an illustration using an AI image service. The result is an artistic interpretation, not a photographic reproduction, and it will differ from your original photo. Our photo collages use your photos without processing them through an AI image service. Where a proof is offered, we will show it to you and will not print until you approve it.
No biometric identification. We do not use facial recognition, analyze or store facial features as biometric data, or use your photos to identify anyone. For photo collages, each crop starts centered and you can adjust it yourself; we do not detect faces to position it.
Photo retention and deletion. We delete your photos and generated artwork 90 days after your order is delivered, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we need them to resolve an open claim. If an open claim requires us to keep them beyond 90 days, we keep only what is needed for that claim and delete it when the claim is resolved. You can ask us to delete your photos and generated artwork at any time by writing to info@personalizedcat.com. If you ask before your order is complete, deletion may prevent us from completing it. Approval is final. Once you approve a proof, that exact artwork goes into production. We cannot change or cancel an order after production has started.
Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges that we received it; the contract is formed when we accept the order and begin production. We may decline an order for any lawful reason, including suspected fraud or an error in pricing or stock.
Shipping
Production and delivery times are given in our Shipping Policy. They are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier takes possession of the package.
Our content
The Site, our designs, artwork, text, photographs and logos belong to us or to our licensors. You may not copy, resell or reproduce them without our written permission. The artwork we produce for your order is licensed to you for personal use; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying design.
Reviews
After your order is delivered, we may invite you to review it. Reviews are optional, and we don’t pay for them or offer anything in exchange.
License. When you submit a review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce and share your review, its star rating and any photos or videos you add. We use them on the Site and in our own emails and social media accounts, always with the name you chose on the review form (for example, your first name and last initial) or with no name if you posted anonymously. We may resize or crop photos to fit the page, and we may show part of your review in a short excerpt, but we will not change its meaning. You keep ownership of your photos and your words.
What you confirm. By submitting a review, you confirm that:
- It reflects your honest experience with the product you bought.
- You own the photos and videos you add, or you have permission from whoever does.
- If a photo or video shows people, you have permission from each person shown, or from their parent or legal guardian if they are a minor, for it to be published with your review.
- It does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or right to their own image, and it is not unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise offensive.
Moderation. We read every review before it appears. We may decline or remove a review, or any photo or video, that breaks these rules, that is not about the product, or that includes personal information such as addresses or phone numbers. We do not decline reviews because they are negative.
Removal. You can ask us to take down your review or its photos at any time by writing to info@personalizedcat.com from the email address you used for your order. We will remove it from the Site within 2 business days and stop using it in our emails and social media. The license ends when it is removed, except for emails already sent and copies other people have saved or shared. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
Accuracy
We try hard to describe our products accurately, but colors vary between screens and printed materials, and printed items have manufacturing tolerances. Minor variation in color, position or size is normal and is not a defect.
Disclaimers and limits
The Site and our products are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of content you upload — in particular, claims that it infringes someone’s intellectual property or right to their own image.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state your order is shipped to. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live, and you may bring any dispute before the courts there.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published on this page when you place your order.
