Fine printed dots carry the soft grain of pencil, giving the portrait its engraved look.

Make it theirs in three steps

1. Upload your photo and add a name. Choose your garment, color, and size. Upload a clear photo of one cat and add their name, using up to 12 characters.
2. Review your proof by email. We turn your photo into a pencil-style portrait and compose it with the name. A person checks the artwork before we email your proof. Check the likeness and spelling, and ask for changes before approving.
3. Approve, then we print. Nothing is printed until you approve your proof. Once approved, your design goes to print. We email your tracking number when it ships.

The Classic lettering style is fixed. Your cat’s name prints in uppercase. One cat and one name per design; the name can be up to 12 characters, including spaces and punctuation.

The portrait is printed on the front. Light garments use a dark portrait and chocolate-brown name; dark garments use a light portrait and warm tan name. Fabric and screen settings can affect how colors look. White sweatshirts and hoodies may look slightly off-white.

Choose a clear photo

Use a sharp photo of one cat in natural light, with clear eyes and both ears fully visible. Upload the original photo with at least 800 pixels on its shorter side. Avoid heavy filters and photos with people or other pets.

Care for your portrait

Comfort Colors 1717 T-shirt: Wash inside out in cold water, up to 30°C (90°F). Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low. If needed, iron on low heat away from the print. Do not dry clean.

Bella+Canvas 3001 T-shirt: Wash inside out in cold water, up to 30°C (90°F). Use non-chlorine bleach only if needed. Tumble dry on low. Iron on medium heat if needed, keeping the iron away from the print. Do not dry clean.

Gildan 18000 crewneck sweatshirt: Wash inside out in cold water, up to 30°C (90°F). Use non-chlorine bleach only if needed. Tumble dry on low. Do not iron or dry clean.

Gildan 18500 hoodie: Wash inside out in cold water, up to 30°C (90°F). Use non-chlorine bleach only if needed. Tumble dry on medium heat. If needed, iron on low heat away from the print. Do not dry clean.

Questions before you order

How is my cat’s photo turned into a portrait?

Your photo guides a pencil-style portrait with an engraved look. We pair it with your cat’s name in the Classic serif lettering, with the ears overlapping part of the name. The portrait is an artistic interpretation of your photo; you review it by email before printing.

What kind of photo should I upload?

Use a sharp photo of one cat in natural light, with clear eyes and both ears fully visible. A front-facing or slightly turned head works well. Upload the original photo rather than a screenshot, with at least 800 pixels on its shorter side. Avoid heavy filters, motion blur, and photos with people or other pets.

Can I add more than one cat or change the lettering style?

This design is for one cat and one name. The Classic lettering style is fixed. Names can be up to 12 characters and print in uppercase; spaces and punctuation count toward the limit.

Will I see the portrait before it is printed?

Yes. Your final design arrives as a proof by email. Check your cat’s likeness and the spelling of the name, then approve the proof or ask for changes. We print only after you approve.

What if I want a change to my proof?

Which shirt, sweatshirt, or hoodie should I choose?

Comfort Colors 1717 is the heavier, relaxed garment-dyed tee. Bella+Canvas 3001 is a lighter tee with a retail fit. Gildan 18000 is a classic crewneck sweatshirt, and Gildan 18500 adds a hood and front pocket. All four come in S–3XL. How do I care for my custom cat shirt?

Wash inside out in cold water and keep the iron off the print. The Comfort Colors tee, Bella+Canvas tee, and crewneck use low dryer heat; the hoodie allows medium heat.
